The Ciudad SWCD is seeking the services of a New Mexico based artist or artist’s team for a community-based art project that serves to educate residents about the importance of preserving our natural and water resources within the Middle Rio Grande Watershed. The project will serve as a collaboration with
community members, partners, and local leaders, and focus on traditionally underserved communities in the region. This artist residency is open to artists working in the visual, literary, and performing arts.

Interested Parties with the following experience are encouraged to review the full RFQ details:

●       Able to commit for the full duration of the Artist in Residence (AIR) program with Ciudad between February 2025 and Summer 2026 in order to obtain community feedback, creatively design work of art, and produce work(s) of art to raise awareness of  urban waterways and the Middle Rio Grande watershed

●       Experience creating  community-engaged and/or public art

●       Experience working in and with communities, and dedicated to the environment and sustainability

●       Able to manage budgets and implement  creative projects
